According to confirmed reports, Ycee and Bella Alubo are no longer signed to the Nigerian music label `known as Tinny Entertainment.

Following his engagement with Tinny, Ycee floated to the mainstream in 2015 with his Condo Single which featured Patoranking and he has since followed heavier singles like Jagaban, Omo Alhaji, Link Up, Juice etc.

He also dropped his first official body of work “The First Wave” E.P.  which was released by Sony Music Africa, through Tinny Entertainment.

Bella Alubo, a young singer and rapper, was announced as the label’s latest signee in 2017, after which she released a few singles and a collaborative project with Ycee titled Late Night Vibrations.

There are no confirmed reasons for this development but claims have emerged that the founder and director of Tinny Entertainment- Arokodare Tinny Timilehin took this decision from a financial standpoint. It is also unsure if this spring cleaning affected Dapo Tuburna, an Afropop singer who was signed on around the same time as Bella.

The last direct engagement between Ycee and the official Tinny Entertainment handle on Twitter was the 24th of September 2018 but It has been nearly 2 months since anything about Ycee or Bella was shared on the company’s Instagram platform.

While this doesn’t validate if the artistes are still members of the Label or not, it does raise a serious red flag.

What does this mean for the career of Ycee and even Bella whose stay in the label has been barely over a year?
